Introducing Leading through Influence

In today’s collaborative business environment, work is completed in teams, and leadership is often based more on influence than authority. Leading through Influence is a 1-day workshop that is designed to position emerging leaders to be successful in this environment.

The workshop, which was developed with our partner Emergenetics International, reveals participants' individual thinking and behavioral preferences, teaches them how to leverage those preferences to increase their influence, and prepares them to apply that knowledge on the job through a series of team activities and individual reflection.

Leading through Influence is the first training I’ve been in where everyone actually participated in the activities both in their individual teams and as a broader group. The facilitation was excellent.

Curriculum and learning outcomes

Leading through Influence is a 1-day workshop that combines individualized content, engaging activities, and personal reflection to create a dynamic learning experience. Participants come away with a greater understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, a framework to improve their communications skills and influence, and the ability to work better in a team-based environment. They will also continue to build their personal network with outstanding professionals in their city.

1. Individual assessment

Participants complete the Emergenetics Profile, which reveals thinking and behavioral preferences. They receive an 8-page narrative report and access to the Emergenteics mobile app.

2. Interactive lectures

Virtuali’s AAA Model is a practical approach to influence that is based on the individual assessment. Participants learn to consider their audience, plan their agenda, and balance their approach.

3. Team activities

Team activities enable participants to apply the AAA Model, work others with distinct preferences, and receive feedback. They also create an action plan to prepare for a specific situation on the job.
